Even older than Östermalm’s Food Hall
When Östermalm’s Food Hall opened its doors in 1888, M Seger was already there. In fact, they had been running a thriving business out on the square for three decades. Seger’s Meat was established at Östermalmstorg in the 1850s and was the first vendor to move indoors when Stockholm City banned open-air trading in the square for sanitary reasons. The expertise at M Seger has been passed down for generations, and today you can enjoy the same marbled meats and delicacies once savoured by counts, barons, and city dwellers nearly 140 years ago.
